Sad Wolf by RoyallyCrimson Sad Wolf by RoyallyCrimson
Grey Wolf - Blijdorp Zoo (The Netherlands)

Part of a pack of eight, this wolf looked so sad I wondered wether he's the Omega.

These wolves are so damn difficult to photograph because of their enclosure, which is quite secluded.
For the wolves it means more privacy, which is wonderful of course, but for me, as the photographer, it's a nightmare :)
I've been visiting Blijdorp for over 4 years now and I almost never get to see them properly.

Even this image took me some illegal climbing over fences (which got me scolded too :XD:).

I went last month in the morning, I could not get the wolves to stop moving because it had just been feeding time. We also climbed over the fences XD but because of it being early, like 10/11 there was no one around to scold us. :P I really love this picture ^^ Could have commented in Dutch too but too lazy XD

There was this guy from the park (or so he said) who told me I was being very irresponsible :XD:
I told him people do silly things sometimes and shrugged it off.
He walked away angry

And thanks!

No problem, and I suppose so, me and my friends were lucky XD but my camera isn't as awesome as yours so the wolf pics are blurry XD

If it makes you feel better; I take around 100 pictures during a trip to which ever zoo, and only 3 or 4 (maybe 5 when I'm lucky) turn out good.
Just like every other amateur photographer :XD:

You know, Canon and Nikon have really good starter models of cameras that don't cost much anymore.
Especially if you buy one of the previous models second hand, like the 400D from Canon.
They make pretty good pictures, even with the kit lenses.

And yeah, ask any amateur photographer out there.
Of all the pictures they take on a day, only a few are really good enough to be used :D

Good luck, hope you'll find a good camera.
And if you want to invest, buy a good lens, it's the lens that makes the picture :)
If you remember let me know what you bought ok? I'd love to hear :3

Amazing shot, I love the wolf's expression! <3

Would it be possible to use this as a reference photo, please? :)
